Disclaimer: Nope, I don't own Naruto - you should be thankful for that. Naruto is the property of Masashi Kishimoto.
Pairing: SasuSaku
Prompt: Bank robbery
Rating: T for some slight intimacy at the end.
Genre: Crime/Romance
Words: 1652
Dedicated to: sadira22.
Hopefully, this is readable. I'll never be satisfied with what I write, it seems.
( As he watched her trace the the barrel of the revolver in her hands - almost lovingly - Sasuke vaguely wondered if he should be concerned; after all, it was rather strange that violence from Sakura was such a turn on. )
So, this is my first venture into Crime - written and edited within two hours. Hopefully, it wasn't too horrible. And strangely, while writing this, I've taken a liking to an AU Sakura who loves nothing more than the feel of a revolver in her hands. it's just as awesome as an AU Ino - all fun and sexy and hacker-ish! Ok, I'm off to read all the chapters of ItW now. Oh, before I go, I was wondering, how many of you are participating in Nano? November's almost halfway through.

...And if you don't have the PDF format of Fortunes of War, then maybe you could recommend a few free e-book sites where I can actually FIND the damn book? I've searched all over the net for this one book, but couldn't find the e-book format - there's not much information available about the book to begin with, I didn't realize this book was so obscure... is it?
On the other hand, I was comtemplating reading this Victorian novel called Educating Caroline by Patricia Cabot. What do you think - should I give it a go? Also, I've read Fingersmith by Sarah Waters - and I'm really interested in reading her other book, Tipping the Velvet. It'd help if you could e-mail me a PDF version of this book - or at least, rec a site where I can get the book for free. Your help would be much appreciated.

Hello, flist! It's been a long time since I've done a meme, I know - but I've been swimmign through tons of books, you see. Text books and story books - reading Gabriel Garcia Marquez's One Hundred years of Solitude yet again! The book is freaking amazing. Ok, so here goes:
Name three fics you think I will never, ever, ever write*. In return, I will attempt to write a snippet of one of them.
*By 'never, ever, ever', I mean something you think I wouldn't actually write. Whether it be yaoi/yuri/het, I have no problems with writing any of that - also, I've written short, disjointed scenes for a lot of different pairings - just never posted them because they don't spefically fit anywhere. And yes, flist, I'm SOOOO challenging you on this one - I need to get the rust off my fingers and get back to typing! Conjure up any scenario that comes out of your creative minds and throw them at me - whether it be something as unthinkable as Sasuke spouting romantic poetry, Hinata deliberately attempting vandalism, Naruto giving up ramen OR something sexy, serious, angsty and all that jazz. It can be a pairing you like or a pairing I hate - anything, just, make it something challening. I'm seriously out of practise!
What has surprised you the most about me (if anything) since joining my flist/"friending me"? Was anything completely unexpected or have I always fit the picture of me you have in your head?
Post this in your own journal and see how you have surprised people!

Title: Folded Papers
Pairing: Sasuke Uchiha/Sakura Haruno
Rating: M. Varies with each drabble.
Genre: Romance/Angst/Drama/General
Warning: This is rated M for a reason. Not all drabbles will contain explicit content but reader discretion is advised. A few may contain character death.
Notes: White roses mean innocence, silence and devotion. I also took a few liberties with Chiyo's life transfer jutsu - the mechanics have been left intentionally vague.
1. Love
( Theirs is a love that speaks of unspoken words of devotion, small words of gratitude and a tray of sliced apples. )
2. Lust -
'Nobody has to know...'
( The pained howls bounced off the walls of the dungeons, rang in his ears. He traced the expanse of his pale collarbones with equally pale fingers. Fingers which were slim and rough and curious. They lingered hesitantly at the base of his throat, before parting white cloth and slipping inside with a rustle of starched fabric. Rated M. )
7. Loss -
( She whipped around to look at Sasuke, but he wasn't looking at her - he was staring (unseeingly) far off into the distance, and there was this strange serenity about his countenance - a calm acceptance - that she seldom saw. )
End notes: I'm sorry for disappearing for over two weeks, but I have returned at last! ...With this utterly pitiful attempt at drabbles. Did I mention I can never keep anything short?
Anyway, this was done as a challenge for
Which of the three/four following emotions should I write next? -- Content, Rage, Hot, Cold, Bond, Depression.
Also, I was searching for this Romance genre fic on fanfiction.net that I read a long time ago. I think the secondary genre was humor. Basically Sakura meets up with Sasuke in a bar, by a stroke of luck, and they talk over sake - eventually it leads to sex. But, it's not cliche. At all. The English is amazing, characterization perfect and it was around 5-7 chapters that I last read it. The way it's written has crack stamped over it - the author did an amazing job with taking a cliche concept and turning it into something original. Oh, and Sakura, uh, 'deflowers' Sasuke. XD Crack, remember? So, does that ring a bell? I'm desperate!

Hellooooo, flist! *waves* Let it be known that technology hates me. My computer just crashed a week back, and I tried software after bootable software but to no avail. But that's no surprise, since Bangladesh is the land of pirated software/programs/CD/DVDs. Pride's always been a huge issue with me, but for the sake of my sanity, I finally, finally, swallowed it and asked my friend for the XP installer - and surprisingly, it wasn't that hard. I mean, he was pretty nice about it and everything...
So, just got the PC fixed today - now I've got a hell lotta e-mails to reply to and a hundred more comments as well. *weeps* I know - I know - I'm an utter fail when it comes to replying
Meanwhile, I've missed doing memes, so here's one gacked (once again) from
Give me a character from any of my fandoms, and I will write you about a tattoo they would get, where they would have it, and why they would get it.
Ok, so ask away - I'm taking that most of you guys already know my fandoms?
Anyway, I've been pretty conflicted about a few mangas lately:
1. Naruto (Read upto chapter 398 - yes, I'm really lagging behind but I don't mind spoilers so I know the gist of what's going on in the most recent chapters! ^^)
2. Ouran High School Host Club (Just watched the first eight episodes)
3. Death Note (Just read the first eleven chapters)
4. D.Gray-Man (I really want to start reading it -I've already read chapter 1, actually. Or should I just save my time and watch it intsead? I borrowed the DVD from my friend and he says it's good, so... any advice?)
5. Vampire Knight (I really don't like the direction in which the manga is going - mostly because of all the KanamexYuki, but from an unbiased point of view, I guess it's better than most shoujo manga... I've read upto the latest chapters, and I really can't wait anymore for some ZeroxYuki!!!)
Ok, I find myself constantly struggling to pay equal amounts of attention to all of the five manga above, so I want to drop one (or two) or, at least, postpone it.... but I can't decide. So, choose for me please?
Btw, does anyone have a PDF format of this gay fiction called Fortunes of War by Mel Keegan? And another one called Mexican Heat - co-authored by Laura Baumbach and Josh Lanyon? If so, please, PLEASE, email it to me? I'm desperate here - there are like, no quality English books here in Bangladesh. At all. D:
And to those fantabulous people who're still waiting for my e-mails/replies, wait no more for I shall reply within two days' time! ...I think. XD

1. Who sleeps in bed next to you?
...My books. Yeah, go ahead, and laugh at my supposed nerdiness. It's just, well, picking them out from the shelves and then replacing them is such a hassle, you know? And I find seeing books scattered haphazardly all over my bedsheets really, really nice. Besides, I don't have the time to be neat these days... not that I ever was. *sigh*
2. What's one of the strangest things that have ever happened to you?
I don't know what is conventionally considered strange, but there was this one time last year when I was walking out of the Shilpakala Academy (kind of like a national institute for art, dance, drama, etc) after my music classes, and this really punk-ass looking guy in a motorbike came up to me and gave what was supposed to be a charming smile. He chatted with me for a while and I just dumbly nodded along, wondering why this guy, whom I had seen only a few times in class, was talking to me all of a sudden. And after five minutes or so, he gave me his contact card and flashing one last 'charming' smile, rode off, leaving me all bewildered. Later, when I related the incident to my best friend she shook her head hopelessly and giving me a bland stare, told me, 'You idiot, he was flirting with you,' Conclusion: I'm hopeless. :(
3. What kind of magazines do you read?
Magazines, hm? Lessee... Reader's Digest, Daily Star (especially the music articles), and that's about it. I'm not really a magazine person.
4. If you could see one band in concert right now, any band, dead or alive, which would it be?
Red, without a doubt. I need some screamo junk to let out all the inner grievances studying has caused me lately.
5. What's really creepy?
Spiders. The really ginormous, hairy, crawly, ones that stare at you as if they'd like nothing more than to turn you into a silk cocoon and digest you with nasty, dripping salivary acid. *shudders*
6. Name one odd item within five feet of you.
My green, smiling frog-shaped lamp with bendable light indicator.
7. What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Current fandom: Naruto (fanfiction. NOT manga, especially with Sasuke going axe murderer on everything that breathes)... and D. Gray-Man. Just started reading the manga yesterday. It sounds promising. And addiction - listening to Saving Abel.
8. Where would you like to go right now if you had enough money?
I'd like to go visit i_ate_your_cake's college campus, because it sounds really crazy over there. Oh, and to underhandycat0's garden with me best friend - she's mad about stuff like gardening. And maybe to Riviera, Paris (for all the museums and pretty, pretty art!) and definitely Japan (yeah, I'm obsessed with that country).
9. What are you most excited for?
Next time I see my best friend which is... tomorrow. Hopefully. She's like this older sister I've never had. And for the next chapter of Regret Not a Thing by Mizerable. Something's wrong with me - I mean, is it normal for people to get excited over dark, dreary fanfiction with delicious amounts of angst?
10. What websites do you always visit when you go online?
Hotmail, Livejournal (like, duh), Gmail, Fanfiction.net, Google, Youtube (for Ouran episodes) and Beemp3 (for downloading music)
11. What was the last thing you bought?
A CD containing the best hit songs of Enrique Iglesias, Cold Play, Nickelback and Beyonce ('Halo' is seriously catchy in a slow, mellow way).
12. What's you favorite season?
Winter.
13. Does the weather affect your mood?
Yes, I love the rain... when it doesn't kill the power. Which it does most of the time. And sunny days are not my thing - it's already hot enough over here, and when the sun's particularly cheerful and shiny, I feel as if I'm swimming in molten lava in the pits of hell.
14. What is your zodiac sign?
Scorpio. :D
15. Do you want to learn another language?
Of course! I can speak Hindi but I want to learn how to write it. And I really want to learn Japanese. And Urdu (even though I can speak it somewhat), Italian and Chinese (bet that's gonna be hard *sigh*). And Malaya too (I LOVE the God of Small Things!).
16. 5 things (not people) you can't live without?
Internet, my music player, air-conditioner, shrimp cutlet and my cell phone.
17. Do you have any siblings?
Yes. Two annoying, bratty little brothers, and a (thankfully) mature, responsible older one... who's away abroad. *sinks into depression*
18. What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?
Nah, not really cause I always say what's on my mind to people. ... But, oh wait! Yes, I do want to say something to my Physics teacher - Sir, you never should have been a Physics teacher. You were destined for something far greater, like, idk... singing ballads! Try singing Ave Maria, sir - it goes perfectly with your tone. Yeah, that's it! Because, your voice is just so low and soft and soothing... so much so that it never fails to make me fall asleep in class.
19. What's your earliest memory?
Back when I was around three or four. I chased my neighbour's (terrified) cat all around her house on all fours. I used to think that cute, brown cat was my grandpa. XD
20. Say something to the person who tagged you:
Hey, Trish, say... when I visit India... can I meet your Grandpa?
That's it then. I've been so busy lately! And in case you've been wondering why I literally disappeared for an entire week, well, I've been sick. Very sick. Had a fever last Tuesday, and then recovered on Thursday morning. And then, somehow, I caught another fever Friday morning, because yeah, my immune system sucks like that. Anyway, I should probably reply to all my e-mails and catch the latest chapter of underhandycat0 's Into the Woods. I bet I missed at least two chapters... but then again, punctuality has never been my strong suit. *dejected sigh*

I've been wanting to do this for a while, and the trip to Kishoreganj just confirmed it for me! During my stay at Kishoreganj, I had lots of free time. And well, while it was nice to have some time to myself for a change, there's something called having TOO much free time which inevitably leads to - you guessed it - utter boredom. Driven to the brink of desperation, I knew that I had to do SOMETHING, otherwise I'd go CRAZY... SO. *insert drum rolls* I read books. A lot of them. But only a few of them made it into my favourites list, and thus, I present to you this meme snagged from

10. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its nicest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only. (I'll seriously question your sanity if you can't get THIS one. Just how obvious can this get?!) - A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Guessed by
araine.
Anyway, I've been looking for a certain type of genre recently. Well, perhaps genre isn't the right expression, it'd be more appropriate to simply say that I've been looking for a certain type of story - a war story. Original fiction. And prefereably yaoi. See, the reason for this is, well... I've been having some really strange ideas for a SasuNaru AU war story lately, with Sasuke as Naruto's squad commander and Naruto as his subordinate. There are these scenes running rampant in my mind - the drinking scenes and the coarse life (and language) of military soldiers, both of them struggling through danger, making narrow escapes and most of all, a shirtless, sweating Naruto panting after running drills, and glaring petulantly at his smirking superior... and oh! Crossing a forbidden line, breaking the rules and engaging in hot, steamy -- ahem, yeah. XD
So, if you can rec a few yaoi war stories - preferably published original fiction with tons of description, gore and

So guys! As many of you already know by now, I'm THE biggest procrastinator that ever existed! Oh, and I can guarantee that half you know how much I complain about exams and studying, studying and studying! Anyway, for the last four months, a lot of people have been sending me requests for a bunch of oneshots on their preferred pairings, and I keep telling myself that I'll do it when I have the time. Unfortunately, I really don't have the time these days, although, I DID manage to finish some of them. ...I just didn't post them because I feel they're still too rough around the edges. *sigh* Anyway, here are a bunch of requests by a few people on ff.net and livejournal:
I've been bouncing off from one drabble to the other for a total of three months and now I find myself completely lost in a disorganized swamp of drabbles. See where indecision got me in the end? I need you guys to pull me out of this sticky swamp, or I'll never be able to concentrate on my ongoing stories on ff.net. The small glances of the scenes, I realize, lack in description and I have to amend that mistake sometime in the near future. I just hastily typed up the scenarios for the different drabbles about an hour ago, and would appreciate it if you told me which one you'd like me to post and in which order. Just arrange the numbers in order of most preferred to least preferred (eg: 6, 4, 5) along with option A, B or C (eg: 1 B, 6 A, 3 C) and leave me a note.

Seven of my habits/quirks/facts:
1. I have an unhealthy obsession with music, and am always bugging others for recs.
2. I cannot, for the life of me, writer good humour if I set out with the purpose to write good humour - it always turns into slabs of dark, dreary paragraphs about murder and gore. On the other hand, when I DO somehow manage to write humour, it's always, ALWAYS unintentional.
3. I cannot sleep if I don't have a warm, comfy blanket with me, even in the summer.
4. Just staring at my Physics textbook makes me sleepy like nothing else - it puts me out like a light after 3 seconds! Seriously!
5. I cannot decide between SasuSaku, SasuNaru and NaruSaku so I just said 'To hell with it! They all need each other!' and started shipping Team 7 OT3.
6. I hate Pure Maths but once I start practising the problems, I just cannot stop!!
